What are affiliate links? and How do they work?

Affiliate links only track traffic sent to Amazon by affiliate members recommendations.  Amazon pays it's affiliates for recommending that consumers buy items from the amazon site instead of another website.  Amazon has a separate marketing budget in which they pay it's affiliates based on how much traffic is recommended.   Surviving Toxic Mold is a participant in the Amazon affiliate marketing program.  Surviving Toxic Mold receives marketing incentives based on sales of selected items.

Let it be stated that these items are not sold by myself or SurvivingToxicMold and pricing is the same for you as it is anyone else.  This means that we are not associated with Amazon, shop owners, or any retail product that is linked from our website.  We do not have any information about product specifications, product care or use.  For individuall questions about a products contents, usage or features please contact the manufacturer of said product to determine answers to questions you may have.

Why do we participate in Amazon's Affiliate Marketing program?

95% of ALL websites on the internet MUST participate in some type of revenue creation program in order to sustain operations.  Without a solid revenue stream from a website it will simply become too costly to maintain on the web.  Having a website is NOT a free service and costs the owner/s of that website significant out-of-pocket fees to maintain hosting, domains, trademarks, security software, tracking software, eCommerce abilities, eMail marketing services and plugins that require annual if not, monthly fees. 

As SurvivingToxicMold grows, so have the operating and technical costs associated with publishing, running and maintaining it.  Any and all affiliate links contained herein are a way I help offset these costs.

My ethical standards

If I post an affiliate link to a product, it is either something that I have personally used, am currently using, have research to back it up, support or would recommend it even without an affiliate link.

Unless otherwise noted (in small print contained in that specific article or blog post), all product reviews are of items I have either purchased myself and I am not paid or compensated in any way or were given to me free of charge to test out and try for myself.  If I do not like a product I WILL NOT review it or recommend it on my site. 

My first priority is always providing valuable information and resources to help you create positive changes in your life and I will only ever link to products or resources (affiliate or otherwise) that fit within this purpose.
